Leeds United boss Daniel Farke will be rubbing his hands after seeing the latest transfer news coming out of the Turkish Super Lig.
Leeds United will cast their net far and wide this summer. Expect the 49ers to scan the globe for new players and talents as they gear up for the Premier League, and as they aim to stabilise themselves in the English top flight once and for all.
It’s already being reported that Leeds United will spend up to £100million this summer, possibly more, with Daniel Farke fronting the recruitment process alongside the likes of Adam Underwood as the club’s new sporting director.
There’s a growing number of players being linked with moves to Elland Road as well. Namely in attack with Farke’s options up top looking particularly light with Patrick Bamford bound to leave Leeds United after a seven year stint with the Whites.
One name linked of late is Semih Kilicsoy at Besiktas.
Besiktas ready to sell £8.5m Leeds United target Semih Kilicsoy
Leeds United have been linked with a move for Kilicsoy, 19. The attacker, who also represents the Turkish national team, has three goals in 28 Super Lig matches in 2024/25 but has seemingly fallen out of favour with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
An emerging report from Turkish outlet Bursa Hakimiyet has detailed the latest regarding Kilicsoy, revealing that the Besiktas will sanction Kilicsoy’s summer exit should an offer of €10million (£8.5million) or more come in this summer, with club officials concerned about the youngster’s recent form.
Kilicsoy has had links to England since the start of the year with both Arsenal and Spurs mentioned alongside the Besiktas man, and even Sunderland.
The one attacker that Leeds United are trying to sign right now
Over the course of the summer we’ll no doubt see more and more attacking names linked with Leeds United. In the end, how many join remains to be seen. But more attackers are certainly needed at Elland Road.
Right now though all the talk is about Beto. It’s been claimed that Leeds United are interested in signing Everton striker Beto this summer but whether or not it’s a realistic deal remains to be seen.
Everton are ready to sell Beto following his £26million move to the club in 2023, with the Portuguese forward having scored just 10 Premier League goals since.
For Farke, if he wants to sign multiple players then players in Kilicsoy’s price range may be preferred. But the fact that Besiktas are now so keen to be rid of him doesn’t exactly suggest that he’s a Premier League-ready player.
