‘Different kind of deal’: How much RedBull are going to be involved in Leeds United’s Premier League transfers

Leeds United will now be planning for what should be a real statement from the 49ers this summer.

This comes after the continued promises from the board as Paraag Marathe hopes to spend £100m at Leeds.

Fans might be reluctant to believe his claims after Marathe broke his transfer pledge at Leeds last summer.

Time will tell whether that comes to fruition, but it seems as though Farke will be heavily involved in transfers and rightly so after a brilliant campaign in the Championship with Leeds.

Another question that has been raised is RedBull’s involvement, as Marathe has revealed all.

Paraag Marathe reveals RedBull’s involvement in Leeds United transfers

With RedBull having a minority investment in the Whites surely they will have a say in the ongoings around Elland Road this summer.

As it’s the global company’s first English club alongside their European outfits in Leipzig, Salzburg and more, they might provide help this window.

It’s been made clear that Leeds will ‘lean on’ RedBull’s knowledge for transfers so this gives them every right to be involved.

Well speaking to BBC West Yorkshire Sport, Marathe has outlined the plans with the investor in exciting news for fans.

“They’re going to be the same great presence that they have been,” Marathe said.

“The partnership is unchanged. Other than the fact that it’s a different kind of deal now that we’re in the Prem.

“But other than that, they’re going to continue to be great partners in the same way that they have been.”

Jurgen Klopp could have a say in Leeds’ transfers

Alongside RedBull, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was appointed Head of Global Soccer in January 2025.

This means he could have a say in what happens around the RedBull invested clubs, which includes Leeds.

That was made clear when Klopp could’ve impacted Angus Kinnear’s replacement, so it suggests the door is open to do the same with transfers.

Of course, this is unknown as of yet, but Klopp could help Josuha Guilavogui find a new club after it was revealed that Guilavogui will ‘almost certainly’ leave Leeds.

The one thing that is for certain is that RedBull will remain a presence around the club, and don’t be surprised if you see some RedBull-inspired signings this summer.
